Samsung has quietly expanded its mid-range tablet lineup with the launch of the Galaxy Tab A11+, a more powerful version of the Galaxy Tab A11 that debuted earlier this year. The new model is rolling out first in select markets, including the United Kingdom and Ukraine, bringing Samsung’s budget tablet strategy closer to what it offers in its premium range.
Display and Performance
The Galaxy Tab A11+ features an 11-inch WUXGA LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a clear upgrade over typical entry-level panels. While it does not match Samsung’s AMOLED screens, the higher refresh rate should make everyday use, scrolling, and gaming feel noticeably smoother.
Inside, Samsung has replaced the Unisoc processor used in the standard Tab A11 with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 chipset. This change should deliver more consistent performance across apps, multitasking, and browser-heavy tasks. The tablet is available with up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, and it still supports microSD expansion up to 2 TB for users who store large amounts of offline content.
Software and Long-Term Support
On the software side, the Galaxy Tab A11+ aims higher than most budget tablets. It ships with One UI 8 based on Android 16 and is included in Samsung’s seven-year update policy, promising operating system upgrades up to Android 23. This level of support is rare in the budget tablet category. The device also comes with Google Gemini integration preinstalled.
Cameras, Audio, and Battery
The hardware setup will look familiar to Samsung users. The tablet includes an 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front-facing camera suited primarily for video calls and casual photography. Power comes from a 7,040 mAh battery that supports 25 W fast charging.
For audio, the Galaxy Tab A11+ offers quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support, aiming to deliver an improved multimedia experience. A 3.5 mm headphone jack is also present, which is increasingly uncommon on modern tablets but still appreciated by users who prefer wired audio.
Connectivity and Battery Life
The connectivity options include Wi‑Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and an optional 5G variant for users who want mobile data on the go. Samsung estimates up to 15 hours of video playback on a single charge, making it suitable for long flights, binge-watching sessions, or a full day of remote learning.
Pricing and Availability
The Galaxy Tab A11+ is available in Grey and Silver and has already gone on sale in a few regions. In the United Kingdom, the pricing structure is as follows:
128 GB Wi‑Fi model: £249 (approximately $319 / €295 / ₹26,600)
