The Epic Games Store has expanded its weekly free offer to include two free games instead of one. Replacing last week’s Universe for Sale, the current free titles are The Darkside Detective and Jackbox Party Pack 4. As usual, you have seven days to claim these games and keep them permanently in your Epic Games Store library.
The Darkside Detective
The Darkside Detective is a point-and-click adventure developed by Spooky Doorway. The story follows the Darkside Division, a small unit that investigates bizarre and dangerous cases in Twin Lakes City. Detective Francis McQueen and his partner, Officer Patrick Dooley, take on nine cases involving flesh-hungry tentacles, mafia-style zombies, and even the occasional missing sock.
According to the developer, “Where cultists crawl, where demons dwell, where the occult… occults? *ahem* That’s where you’ll find Detective Francis McQueen, the lead investigator of the criminally underfunded Darkside Division. When evil darkens the doorsteps of Twin Lakes City – or even when it just loiters around shop fronts or hides in shady alleyways – he’s there, ready to investigate the cases that nobody else will.”
Jackbox Party Pack 4
Fans of party games have a lot to enjoy with Jackbox Party Pack 4. This collection includes five different multiplayer games, all playable with phones or other devices as controllers. The pack contains:
- Fibbage 3 (2–8 players): A new entry in the bluffing trivia series, featuring fresh question types and a mode called Fibbage: Enough About You (3–8 players), where you guess surprising facts about your friends.
- Survive the Internet (3–8 players): A web-themed game where you twist your friends’ online comments into ridiculous and often embarrassing statements.
- Monster Seeking Monster (3–7 players): A spooky dating game where you message and date other monsters, each with unique special powers.
- Bracketeering (3–16 players): A chaotic debate and betting game where you place wagers on the outcomes of absurd argument brackets.
- Civic Doodle (3–8 players): A creative competition in which players try to one-up each other’s drawings to improve the town’s murals.
How Long the Offer Lasts
The giveaways for Jackbox Party Pack 4 and The Darkside Detective are now available on the Epic Games Store and will remain free to claim until December 11. After this promotion ends, Epic will launch another free game offer on the same day, though the next title has not yet been revealed.
