Poco appears to be preparing to enter the premium mid-range tablet market with a device rumored to be called the Poco Pad X1. A new listing in the Geekbench benchmark database, following an earlier appearance on Indonesia’s TKDN certification platform, suggests that this upcoming tablet could soon launch globally.
Key Hardware Details from Geekbench
The Geekbench entry, listed under the model number 25099RP08G, indicates that the Poco Pad X1 is powered by a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset. It is paired with 8 GB of RAM and runs Android 15 out of the box. This configuration clearly positions the tablet in the upper mid-range segment, aimed at users seeking near-flagship performance without paying full flagship prices in USD, EUR, or INR.
Possible Rebrand of the Xiaomi Pad 7
The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip may sound familiar because it already powers Xiaomi’s Pad 7. This has fueled speculation that the Poco Pad X1 could effectively be a rebranded version of that model, which would be consistent with Poco’s usual strategy of repackaging Xiaomi hardware for different markets.
For reference, the Xiaomi Pad 7 comes with an 11.2-inch 3.2K IPS LCD display offering a 144 Hz refresh rate, up to 12 GB of RAM, and 256 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The tablet is equipped with an 8,850 mAh battery that supports 45 W fast charging, dual 8 MP cameras on the front and back, quad speakers, and a metal chassis. It also supports both a stylus and a keyboard accessory, aiming to cover productivity as well as entertainment use cases.
Launch Timing and Other Upcoming Poco Devices
Alongside the Poco Pad X1, the company is reportedly getting ready to introduce the Poco F8 Pro and Poco F8 Ultra smartphones. Both of these phones have already appeared in several certification databases. Given the overlapping timelines, it would not be surprising if Poco chose to unveil the Pad X1 together with the F8 series, turning the event into one of its most ambitious multi-device launches in recent years.
