Nissan has unveiled the N6, its first plug-in hybrid sedan designed specifically for the Chinese market. The model is produced through Nissan’s joint venture with Dongfeng, known as the Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company (DFN).
Platform and Powertrain
The N6 is the first vehicle built on the Tianyan Architecture, a new energy vehicle (NEV) platform co-developed by Nissan and Dongfeng.
As a plug-in hybrid, the N6 combines a 1.5-liter petrol engine with a 21.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. Nissan claims fuel consumption of under 2 liters per 100 km and an electric-only driving range of up to 180 km. According to the company, this performance has earned the N6 a Guinness World Record. The battery can be charged in under 20 minutes.

Exterior Design
The N6 features a sleek exterior with slim headlights equipped with adaptive high-beam technology and distinctive “Hurricane-eye” 3D taillights that emphasize its premium character.

Interior and Comfort
The cabin adopts a 360-degree wraparound layout, with 85% of the interior surfaces finished in soft-touch materials. A 15.6-inch 2.5K central display takes center stage and is paired with the Xiao Ni AI voice assistant.
The front seats use AI Zero-Pressure Cloud Cushion technology with adaptive posture support, while the rear seats form a Zero-Pressure Cloud Cushion Sofa. Nissan has used a gel material designed to provide a premium, leather-like feel.
Customers can choose between Off-White or Elegant Black interior themes, each available with Rose Gold or Night Purple accent trim. Exterior color options include Sunlight Gold, Hyacinth Purple, Flowing Silver, Obsidian Black, Rock Grey, and Pearl White.

Technology and Driver Assistance
The N6 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8775 automotive-grade chipset. Its end-to-end driver assistance suite, developed in collaboration with Momenta, supports drivers in highway and city scenarios as well as during parking maneuvers.
